The Akwa Ibom State Electricity Regulatory Commission (AKSERC) is the statutory independent body established under the Akwa Ibom State Electricity Law, 2025, to regulate the State Electricity Market.
The Law establishes the Akwa Ibom State Electricity Market and provides the legal and institutional framework for electricity generation, transmission, distribution, sales, supply, trading and other electricity services within the State.
The Law specifically establishes the Commission and provides that it is responsible for implementing the Law except where otherwise provided.
