Regulating a Reliable, Sustainable and Inclusive
Electricity Market for Akwa Ibom
The Akwa Ibom State Electricity Regulatory Commission (AKSERC) is the statutory independent body established by the Akwa Ibom State Electricity Law, 2025, to regulate the Akwa Ibom State Electricity Market.
The Commission is responsible for providing a stable legal, commercial and technical regulatory framework for electricity generation, transmission, distribution, supply and other licensed electricity activities within Akwa Ibom State.
The Law establishes AKSERC as a body corporate with perpetual succession and makes it responsible for implementing the Law except where otherwise provided.
