AKSERC, Ibom Power Company Strengthen Partnership to Advance Akwa Ibom Electricity Market

The Akwa Ibom State Electricity Regulatory Commission (AKSERC) has reaffirmed its commitment to transparent, independent, and effective regulation, while fostering constructive engagement with stakeholders to promote a reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity market in the State.

The Chairman/CEO of AKSERC, Ms Arit Uya, made this known while receiving the management of Ibom Power Company (IPC) on a courtesy visit to the Commission.

Speaking on behalf of IPC, the Ag. MD/CEO, Engr. Camillus Umoh, congratulated the Commission's leadership on its appointment and reaffirmed the company's commitment to working closely with AKSERC within the established regulatory framework to strengthen power generation, attract investment, and improve electricity access across Akwa Ibom State.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange views on issues critical to the development of the State's electricity market. Both organisations expressed their commitment to maintaining a constructive working relationship in support of a transparent, efficient, and investor-friendly electricity sector that aligns with the ARISE Agenda.
