The Akwa Ibom State Electricity Regulatory Commission (AKSERC) today received the leadership of the Independent Electricity Consumers Forum (IECOF) on a familiarization visit to the Commission.
The Chairman of the IECOF Board of Trustees, Chief Ubong Akpan, stated that the visit was to acquaint the Commission with the Forum's programmes aimed at promoting consumer awareness, encouraging consumers to understand their rights and responsibilities, and fostering constructive participation in the Akwa Ibom State Electricity Market.
In her response, the Chairman/CEO of AKSERC, Arit Uya, appreciated the Forum for the visit and reaffirmed the Commission's commitment to protecting electricity consumers while providing a transparent and investment-friendly regulatory environment that supports sustainable growth of the State Electricity Market.
